Dr. Ilya Benjamin, sedation dentist with over 20 years of experience practicing in Las Vegas, will be leading an IV Infusion Course specifically designed for the general dentists. Dr. Benjamin attended Boston University College of Engineering and the University of Florida College of Dentistry, completing his postgraduate training at Mount Sinai Hospital and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. Licensed to practice in Nevada, California, and Florida, Dr. Benjamin specializes in full arch dentistry under IV Sedation and performs advanced implant procedures, including Zygomatic, Pterygoid, and Transnasal Implants. In addition to his private practice and operating a CAD/CAM dental lab. Dr. Benjamin teaches dentists worldwide on topics such as ExoCad Full Arch, Digital Workflow, and Infusion Sedation Techniques. Dr. Benjamin believes that IV infusion techniques are the best way to treat patients, especially during long procedures, ensuring patients comfort and safety.
Taking this course offers practical, focused training on using common and safe sedative drugs like Midazolam and Fentanyl. They are all reversible drugs and most relevant for general dentists certified in moderate sedation. Unlike other courses that may cover advanced drugs (like Propofol or Remifentanyl) this course is designed with safety in mind. Hence, this training is specifically tailored to the needs and safety concerns of the general dentist practicing moderate sedation. We only use reversible medication accepted by most Dental Boards.
In this course, you'll learn to proficiently operate the B Braun Infusomat® Space, focusing on its setup, use, and troubleshooting, ensuring you manage IV sedation effectively in your dental practice. You'll gain hands-on experience with live patient demonstrations, enhancing your skills in administering and monitoring IV sedation with drugs that are both safe and reversible. Additionally, the course will cover critical response techniques to ensure patient safety, including how to adjust dosages and respond to patient reactions during sedation. We will be using 4 drugs, Midazolam, Byfavo, Fentanyl and Precedex. There will be 2 Live Cases.
No, only Dr. Ilya Benjamin will administer and treat patients. The cases will be short and simple.
The training center is approximately 20 minutes from the main strip and Uber ride will probably $20 - $40 dollars depending on time of the day.
